DEATH OF DAVID FOX

David Fox, who established the Fort Nottingham Museum and founded the popular Fort Nottingham Highland Games, died suddenly of a heart attack on Christmas Eve.

With his wife Jean, he ran a successful thoroughbred stud farm in Fort Nottingham and was the creator of the “horse passport” a document that recorded all distinguishing features and other details of thoroughbred horses.

He wrote three books: The History of Fort Nottingham, The Adventures of Col Willoughby Willoughby-Smyth and the children’s book Dinosaurs on the Commonage of Fort Nottingham.

He is survived by his wife Jean, son John and daughter Louise.
