The Centre for Jazz
and Popular Music will present the Artvark Saxophone Quartet from Netherlands
on March 30.
Artvark is a unique
jazz saxophone quartet made up of Rolf Delfos (alto sax), Bart Wirtz (alto
sax), Mete Erker (tenor sax) and Peter Broekhuizen (baritone sax). They have
been together for over a decade. The quartet mixes their different backgrounds
to form their creative and original sound.
Artvark is famous
for their innovative original compositions, strong individual soloists and the
adventurous groove of four saxophones.
Every year they
tour clubs and international festivals, playing their most recent repertoire.
In addition to concerts, Artvark is also involved in education: 'Artvark
Moves!' is their latest educational programme in which they offer unique master

transition.
