The Pietermaritzburg Children's Choir will
be hosting auditions for children between the ages of 9-16 years to join the
choir.
The Pietermaritzburg Children’s Choir is
the premiere regional children’s choir with a history of singing excellence and
leadership. Under the current capable hands of conductor, Simon Bester, with
accompanist, Anne Duthie, the choir has continued to stand out in their
featured performances through this year.
The choir’s manifesto is simply a love of
singing. The choir practices once a week during the school term at Epworth
Preparatory School Assembly Room on Wednesdays from 17h15 to 19h15. All choir
practices are compulsory unless there is a valid reason.
The choir also runs regular practices such
as workshops which entail extra practice on a Saturday when deemed necessary by
the choral conductor. The dates will be given in advance. The choir also runs a
compulsory camp each year and is excluded from the monthly fees. Parents are
asked to help with transport.
Auditions will take place at Epworth
Preparatory School on the following Wednesdays from 16h15 to 17h15:
September 12, 2018
September 19, 2018
October 10, 2018
