After 22 years in Florida Road, Elizabeth Gordon Gallery is making way
for re-development, with yet another restaurant/take-away in the pipeline for its
current home at no. 120.
However, owner Joy Reynolds has found a new home for the gallery, just around the corner at 148 Montpelier Road, Morningside, Durban
“From July 1, we will share the house with Charlie's Coffee Shop, a familiar landmark in the Morningside area, and Yash, the owner of the well-known florist, Flower Power,” says Joy Reynolds.
“We look forward to being part of the Charlie's Community, and hope you will enjoy the benefits of what the three shops have to offer.
“Although the new gallery will be a lot smaller and more compact, we have not comprised on our framing section and have established a good size workshop and framing area. As always, you can be assured that your artworks will remain safely on the premises and will be subject to the same care and quality control.
“In the gallery section, our most popular artists will be on display, plus we'll have a variety of mirrors, prints, sculptures and gifts on offer.
“There is allocated gallery parking at the front door, and a trustworthy car guard will help unload your car and carry pictures into the gallery for you.
“We look forward to welcoming you into our new home.”
