The Centre for Creative Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal recently awarded Wesley Maherry a Special Merit Citation at the opening of the JOMBA! Contemporary Dance Experience at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre.
Wesley has been JOMBA!’s dedicated, passionate and committed Production Manager for 15 years.
Under his technical expertise, JOMBA! was award the Best Digital Creations accolade by the NIHSS in 2022. In 2022, with his incredible support given to JOMBA! curator Lliane Loots and her team Jomba! received the Business and Arts South Africa Chairman’s Award the same year.
Wesley’s greatest trait is that he has immense respect for the profession and for all who earn their livelihoods in the arts sector; and as a result, all who work with him reach their own new heights of greatness!
