WOMEN’S MONTH DIALOGUE

Students’ engagement with Leaders on the UDW Campus, The Senate Chambers: on August 15.

UKZN SRC members and student leaders have a rare opportunity to be able to engage with some of the country’s foremost officials during a day-long, Women’s Month themed event led by Hon Deputy Minister Mmapaseka Steve Letsike from the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, to be held in the Senate Chambers, on UDW campus on August 15.

A day of dialogue is the initiative of the management team of Symphony by the Water – a one-day eclectic music festival to be held on the banks of Midmar Dam in the company of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra and special guests, on Saturday October 4.

Among the guests are Hon Deputy Minister Mmapaseka Steve Letsike Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities; Prof Nana Poku Vice-Chancellor and Principal, University of KwaZulu-Natal; Hon; Hon Mntomuhle Khawula MEC for Arts and Culture, KwaZulu-Natal; Mr. Themba Ndhlovu Chief Executive Officer, SBD Business Systems; Prof Bonga Chiliza, Dean of the School of Clinical Medicine, University of KwaZulu-Natal; Hon Nontembeko Boyce, Speaker of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature; Hon Makhotso Sotyu, Deputy Minister of Tourism in South Africa  and SRC and Student Leadership Representatives from Edgewood Campus, Howard College Campus, Medical School Campus, Pietermaritzburg Campus and Westville Campus.
