RICHARD E GRANT PAYS TRIBUTE TO JOHN MATSHIKIZA

Actor and director Richard E Grant pays tribute to the late John Matshikiza.

Internationally acclaimed actor and director Richard E Grant is currently in Sydney in Australia until Christmas playing Higgins in My Fair Lady for the Sydney Opera Company. This is his first professional musical - and first since being in Camelot by the same composers some 33 years ago!

“I am so so sorry to hear this very sad news,” Richard E Grant says in response to the news of John Matshikiza’s death. “I was so thrilled when John agreed to play our family doctor in Wah-Wah and his enthusiasm and endorsement of the film at the premiere meant a great deal to me. Far too young to die. Gutted to get this devastating news.”
