The recent death of legendary South African television actress Daphney Hlomuka at the age of 59 leaves the industry the poor for her passing.

The actress was recently acknowledged as an icon at the eThekwini Living Legends Project awards ceremony at the KwaMuhle Museum.

Gaining viewer’s attention in her first role on SABC’s Sgudi Snaysi, Daphney Hlomuka went on to appear in numerous productions, her latest being the Shakespeare Series uGugu no-Andile on SABC1 and Rhythm City on e.tv.
