BEOWULF

Ray Winstone and Anthony Hopkins appear in film about fearless warrior on MNet.

On January 9 at 20h30,Mnet will screen Beowulf, directed in 2007 by Robert Zemeckis starring Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Robin Wright Penn, Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich, Brendan Gleeson, Crispin Glover and Alison Lohman.

Beowulf is a fearless warrior who has never lost a fight yet. No wonder he boasts about being the teeth in the darkness, the talons in the night. So when he learns that the King of Denmark is offering half of his kingdom, and his queen, to the warrior who will kill a fearsome monster, he goes, fully expecting to win. In fact, he’ll battle the monster in the nude, just to level the playing field (and, of course, to give all those maidens a look at his remarkable – er - physique). The battle is fierce and furious, and Beowulf emerges the winner. But now he has to contend with the wrath of the monster’s alluring mother, who has been seducing men for centuries …
