Gala performance of performance by Russian company.
Dance fundis have only one chance to see the spectacular Stars of the Bolshoi Ballet performance in Durban. The gala concert takes place on March 7 at 19h00 in the Playhouse Opera Theatre as part of the festival of Russian culture in South Africa.
The Bolshoi Ballet is one of the oldest and most established schools for classical ballet training in Russia and its dancers have performed across the world in London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Vienna and Buenos Aires. The company’s repertoire includes ballets of different styles from various famous suites including Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote and Le Corsaire.
Stars such as Ilse Liepa, Morihiro Ivata and Anastasia Goryacheva will perform scenes and extracts from classical ballet masterpieces. Tickets range from R135 to R225 and are available from Computicket.
