NEWMUSICSA CONCERT

Exciting new works for a variety of instruments by South African contemporary composers.

Exciting new works for a variety of instruments by South African contemporary composers can be heard in a fund-raising concert of New Music presented by NewMusicSA in association with the UKZN School of Music. The event offers an exciting opportunity to experience art music that is being created right now - the Music of Today

The composers include Jürgen Bräuninger, Guy Buttery, Andrew Cruickshank, Aryan Kaganof, Andile Khumalo, Clare Loveday and Ulrich Süsse, as well as a selection of international composers. Performers will be Anthony Boorer (trombone), Guy Buttery (acoustic guitar and musical saw), Andrew Cruickshank (piano), Ramsey Harvard (double bass), Géza Kayser (violin), Syd Kitchen (guitar), Ilse Minnie and Jennifer Cox (marimba and cello) with Clare Welfare (oboe).

The concert takes place on March 28 at 19h30 at Howard College Theatre, UKZN Dbn. Admission R60. More information on 072 822 7988.
