Adults acting course to be presented by Rising Star Academy.

“Ever felt like you are a budding Brad Pitt or Meryl Streep and need to be in the spotlight? Would you like to learn how to reduce the infamous butterflies when you have to present at work? Ever wanted to `just see’ what it feels like to be on stage? If so, this is your chance to try something different, challenge yourself, build confidence, network and above all else…have a good time!”

This is the message from Rising Star Academy as they launch their adults’ beginners acting course titled No Experience Necessary.

Over the six weeks of the course, those attending will be introduced to the following topics: Vocal training / public speaking; Stage presence – using body language; Improvisation, and Characterisation.

The course is open to all ages from 16 upwards and will be held every Wednesday from April 15 to 20 from 19h00 to 21h00 at the Westville Theatre Club, Attercliffe Road, Westville. Fees are R600 and a 50% deposit is required to secure a place.

Registrations close March 20 and a minimum of 10 registrations is required to permit the course to go ahead. Registration forms can be downloaded from www.risingstaracademy.co.za/lessons.html
