SUNSET SOIREE

Pietermaritzburg event sees Karin Herd and Ronel Wood on a musical journey.

In the first event of its 2009 season, the Pietermaritzburg-based Sunset Soiree sees singer and traveller Karin Herd – the lady of song in many languages – with Ronel Wood on piano, board the Rainbow Airways at Oribi International Airport to land in every country except her desired destination, Perth.

This is due to pilot error - the intrepid pilot, flies on beetroot juice and garlic fumes and gets very confused (rigting bedonnerd!). ”Come on a trip of a lifetime with Sunset Soiree - and be assured of a flight you will never forget,” they offer. “We land in Ireland and enjoy the Wood twins as they add to the excitement of Irish dance during our journey round the world.”

The Sunset Soirees take place at The Studio, 208 Chapel Street in Pietermaritzburg. The first performance is on March 21 at 18h00 with tickets at R80 including a light supper. The next performance is on March 22 at 16h00 - with tickets at R45 (bring your own picnic). Take your own drinks for both performances. Best seats are on first booked, first served basis so early booking is advised.

Contact Ronel on 033 3422 338 or email: ronel@ovation.co.za or Megan on 033 3425 802 or email: megfrean@ushomi.co.za - Car guards will be in attendance at both performances.
