The annual National Creative Arts Youth Festival has a strong dance programme.
This was opened on May 7 with the Durban Dance Foundation’s Bursary competition offering four bursaries – The Nan Girdlestone Bursary, The DDF Junior Bursary, The Lurgan Junior Bursary and the Faith de Villiers Bursary.
This was followed tomorrow (May 9) with Love of Dance with two performances (15h00 and 19h00) presented by the NCAYF in collaboration with the Durban Dance Foundation. The Dance Choreography Competition will take place on May 10 at 09h00.
Born to Dance, a showcase of dance dramas will take place on May 15 and 16 at 19h00.
On the afternoon of May 16 at 15h00, dance lovers will delight in Dance for Joy!, a dance programme showcasing the skills of the junior dancers from studios and schools from KwaZulu-Natal.
All events are held in the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre.
