NEW DANCE 2009

A festival of contemporary dance to take place in Johannesburg in August.

New Dance will be rocking Johannesburg from August 19 to 29, 2009, in various venues in Johannesburg which includes the Wits Theatre in Braamfontein and Dance Factory in Newtown.

New Dance includes works by renowned artists such as Gregory Maqoma with the highly acclaimed Skeleton Dry; Maria Helen Pinto from Mozambique and Luyanda Sidiya with Invocation, one of the highlights of the FNB Dance Umbrella 2009.

The highly acclaimed work SHARP, SHARP! young artists and other companies from Morocco, Italy and Switzerland can also be seen.
