Grant Jacobs and Rory Booth to present sequel of their successful show for the June/July holidays.
Following the amazing success of Festive Fun with Bob and Rob, the talented Grant Jacobs and Rory Booth have come up with a sequel for the June/July holidays.
Two of the theatre community’s most hard-working rising stars and Catalina regulars, the actors have jointly devised, scripted, created and directed a delicious story about brothers Bob and Rob who go on another great adventure and learn important life lessons en-route. This storyline takes them into the world of TV and technology.
Rob and Rob are naughty and tease an old lady neighbour, Aunty Pushpa, which takes them on an adventure which teaches them not to cry wolf and be respectful of others. The children in the audience encounter the villain of the piece, the scary goblin-like creature Fox. They get swallowed into the world of TV from which they can only escape if they help others. Magic can’t happen inside TV, only in the real-world so the children in the audience are needed to help rescue our hero brothers. En-route we meet bra’ James; Chef Partchelli; and of course we meet Mongo again – who was captured by the evil Fox and needs help to escape. A huge exciting, magical adventure ensues and the story does have a happy ending, reminding us that good behaviour is always rewarded, and being naughty does have its consequences!
Written and performed by Grant Jacobs and Rory Booth and presented in association with TheatreBIZ, The Further Adventures of Bob and Rob runs at the Catalina Theatre from June 27 to July 12 daily at 11h00 (including Mondays). Only 45 minutes long, it is perfect for children – even little ones. Tickets include a boat ride around the harbour offering a full morning’s entertainment for families. Bring warm clothes to stay snug during the boat ride because it can get cold in the harbour!
