Great line-up for annual festival at St Anne’s College in Hilton.
Running from August 13 to 19 at The Theatre, St Anne's College at Hilton, outside Pietermaritzburg, the St Anne’s Cultural Festival 2009 offers a great line up.
Fresh from the Grahamstown National Arts Festival, there’s Monkey Nuts written and directed by Geraldine Naidoo and featuring Matthew Ribnick. The KZN premier will take place on August 13 at 19h30. Another production Every Year, Every Day, I Am Walking, from the Magnet Theatre in Cape Town was the Pick of the Main of the 2007 Grahamstown National Arts Festival). With performances on August 17 and 18 at 20h00, it is directed by Mark Fleishman and features Jennie Reznek and Faniswa Yisa.
Another festival winner, this time Itsoseng (Scotsman Fringe First Award 2008 Edinburgh Festival) can be seen on August 19 at 10h00. Directed by Tina Johnson, it is written and performed by Omphile Molusi.
There will be a performance from the Pixie Bennett Band on August 14 at 19h30.
