ZULULAND EXPO 2009

Invitation to take part in Zululand’s largest combined entertainment & exhibition showcase.

The Zululand Chamber of Business Foundation will once again play host to the town’s largest event, the Zululand Expo, from September 24 to 26, this year celebrating its 10th birthday.

The Zululand Expo has become the region’s premier entertainment and exhibition showcase – attracting nearly 300 exhibitors and 27,00 visitors from all over South Africa. The expo is about much more than just the entertainment or providing a platform for local businesses to showcase their products or services. It is about providing a safe and secure community event that all members of the community can enjoy at an affordable rate. It falls squarely in line with the objectives of the Zululand Chamber of Business Foundation, which aims to foster an environment conducive to economic development and growth.

The show not only provides local industry and small businesses with a platform, and directly stimulates economic activity through expenditure at Expo itself – it also indirectly stimulates the local economy through tourism expenditure. Many of the exhibitors come from areas outside of Richards Bay and make use of local accommodation, restaurants, banking services and other facilities. Profits made from the event are ploughed back into upgrading of the community park.

As the second largest combined entertainment and exhibition event in KwaZulu-Natal, Zululand Expo provides an ideal platform for local and national trade, as well as the opportunity for the public to enjoy the latest in South Africa’s top entertainment. Performances include top artists and bands, making up a spectacular fusion of entertainment to suit all age groups and cultures.

Exhibitors from all over South Africa will once again display their products or services, which include: home décor, sports and leisure, arts and crafts, fashion and accessories, motor industry, outdoor and garden, technology, tourism, education and industrial exhibits, as well as an array of flea market stalls, with an ambit of unusual products to choose from.
