Boogie’s Rock & Roll Diner to present Centrefold in a 50’s- 60’s Grease Theme Party.

Boogie's Diner is a large American styled restaurant in Umhlanga. Situated on two levels, it focuses on the American rock 'n roll era. Imagine 1950s diner with Jukeboxes, pinball machines, black and white chequered floors, vintage Esso gas pumps and red vinyl booths with tables shaped like Fender guitars.

Patrons would be excused for thinking they were in a museum, with little pieces of history everywhere. Lining the walls over every visible surface is one of the world's biggest collections of music memorabilia. The highlight of the display are the hundreds of autographed guitars (from Mark Knopfler to ZZ Top) and photos collected by musician Leon Rautenbach (ex-Ballyhoo guitarist) as he pursued his music career and met with the biggest names in rock music worldwide. Every taste and genre is represented, from Enrique Iglesius to UB40 and Seether, there's a spot on the wall for everyone. This is not only a musicians’ paradise, but for anyone who can appreciate the time and effort put into this collection and the willingness to share it with others.

When Centrefold - Jane and Paul Candow and Belinda Dolphin - saw the venue they knew they had to have a Rock & Roll “Grease Style Party” there. “There will be prizes for the best dressed Sandy and Danny (you can dress the part if you want!) Trivia, competitions and games (who can catch the lollipop, doll!) Bring your yo yo’s and let’s see how good you are!,” invite the organisers.

The evening is all about fun and nostalgia! Centrefold will perform hits from The Big Bopper, Cliff Richard, Bill Haley, Chubby Checker, The Chordettes, Mr Postman, Speedy Gonzales, Stupid Cupid and of course the music from the musical Grease – Summer Nights, Greased Lightening, You’re the one that I want and the hilarious Look at me I’m Sandra Dee. There will be lots of audience interaction, dressing up and general hilarity. So don’t delay and book your table now.
