MACS workshop by Sue Physick in Pietermaritzburg.
MACS House in Pietermaritzburg will host two all-day workshops by Sue Physick on May 15 and 16.
This MACS workshop will teach the traditional technique, using the reverse method of applying tiles/stones, which will be embedded into concrete, reinforced and all, producing the tough outdoor paving stones and bird baths which can get wet and just wait to be walked on. MACS has a vast supply of tiles/stones/shards etc to dip into, but if those who want to incorporate Aunt Maud’s old china fragments should feel free to bring them.
Cost: R460 (R395 MACS members) includes cement mix needed for project and a share of labour cost as well as tea. Lunch will be available, or BYO. Phone Sue at 033-3304101 for more details and handy hints. Early booking is essential through Joy on 033 386 6500.
The all-day workshops start at 09h00 on May 15 and 16. MACS Art House is situated at 23 Haldane Road (corner of Ritchie Road), Bisley, Pietermaritzburg. Phone 033 386 6500 or email MACSzine@yahoo.com
