ZINI MUSIC FESTIVAL

Take a few legendary artists, add some well known and established names, mix thoroughly with increasingly popular up and coming groups and then sprinkle with some fresh new talent. Garnish with a spicy International Brazilian band and a hint of local flavour.

The Zini Music Festival will take place from May 14 to 15 at Mtunzini on the North Coast, only 75 minutes from Durban!

On Friday (May 14), the music will start at 19h00 run until past midnight. The line-up includes Durban performers Shannon Connolly, Cornel Meyer, Maisha, The Meditators and Sea of Stars with Blind Sunrise from Richards's Bay.

The Saturday programme kicks off at 11h00 with a performance every hour until midnight, making for 20 live acts altogether! The Celia Delia Puppet Show and children’s games run till 12h00. Durban performers Syd Kitchen, Pocket Change, Rowan Stuart, Nibs van der Spuy, Car Boot Vendors, John Ellis (ex Tree 63) and Avatar share the stage with Mervyn Morrison and Antacid from Richards Bay, Sara Jackson from Empangeni, Latte Funk from Nelspruit, Manuvah to Land from Amanzimtoti and Napalma from Brazil.

Sunday will be the day of rest, and everyone is welcome to head down to the beach for some relaxing under the mild winter sun, whilst watching some talent in a surfing competition.

The Zini Music Festival will be hosted at Natures Way Backpackers at Mtunzini. Cost R200 Weekend Pass. More information on 082 662 5512.
