Durban-based singer-songwriter-guitarist to promote latest album at Music Revival in Pietermaritzburg.

Durban-based singer-songwriter-guitarist Rowan Stuart will performing at Music Revival’s regular venue to promote his latest album, Soul In A Suitcase. After strong support from this venue for the release of his first album, Rowan looks forward to visiting the stage once more. And this time, he’s bringing company!

Joining Rowan on guitar and backing vocals will be 20-year-old Lester de Freitas, who recently began touring with him. Lester’s addition adds a new dimension to the live performances, creating a fun, full and dynamic duo. Rowan plays his own brand of sophisticated pop, which he describes as ‘kind of like a mix between the vocals of Jason Mraz, the imagination of Sting and the guitar playing of John Mayer.’ Rowan discovered the joys of the guitar at the age of 11, and later became sought after as a session guitarist in many successful shows, such as We Will Rock You, before deciding to turn his passion for song-writing into his full time job. Those attending his performance at Music Revival can expect a mix of songs from his first and second albums, a little bit of blues, and lots of great guitar playing.

Rowan Stuart and Lester de Freitas will perform on June 12 at 19h30 at 35 Montgomery Drive, Pietermaritzburg. Tickets R80.
