Umcebo Trust launches new Soft Sculpture Programme.
The Umcebo Trust at uShaka Marine World has launched a new and exciting Soft Sculpture Programme. As part of their ongoing mission to creatively recycle, the Trust’s newest crafter, Maureen Graham has taken a donation of scrap fabric and started building a range of plants and creatures. These are hand-sewn and beaded creations will combine to create a magical midnight walk in a fantasy KwaZulu-Natal Garden.
This range was successfully launched at the 2011 Cape Town Design indaba in February and Maureen Graham formed part of team who travelled to the Indaba and meet the public, as well as work on pieces for the 2011 stand.
