Friends of Music’s next recital on July 20 features acclaimed group.

Friends of Music’s next recital on July 20 features the London Song Circle, comprising soprano Erica Eloff, mezzo soprano Margriet van Reisen and pianist Mark Nixon. The critically acclaimed group will perform a wide-ranging programme of music by Purcell, Schumann, Brahms, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Quilter and Britten. Their performance will be preceded by the evening’s prelude performer, the young violinist Bongiwe Dlamini, playing pieces by Bach and Curci.

Friends of Music recitals are held at the Durban Jewish Centre at 44 KE Masinga Road (formerly Old Fort Road) and begin at 18h45. Tickets R70 (R60 members) and are available through Computicket on 083 915 8000, or at the door. Safe parking is available at the venue.
