The International Centre for Performing Arts, on behalf of The Kala Darshan Institute of Classical Music and Dance, in association with Arya Yuvak Sabha, announces a presentation of an evening of classical music and dance entitled Swarangika by Shri Manesh Maharaj and his disciples on. August 28.
Produced and directed by Shri Manesh Maharaj, Swarangika highlights the various fields of the performing arts. Sitar, Tabla, Harmonium, Vocal and Kathak will come together on one stage, creating an exciting aural-visual experience which will transport the audience through a spiritual journey of music and dance. Swarangika promises to captivate and enthral a diverse audience with its rich musical score, vibrant choreography and exquisite costumes.
Kala Darshan was established in 1999 with the aim to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of classical music and dance in South Africa. It has endeavoured to create a platform for aspiring students as well as upcoming artists to showcase their talents. Since its inception and through its programmes, it has assisted numerous religious and non-governmental organizations raise funds for their respective projects.
