Shady IRA terrorist Frankie McGuire (Brad Pitt) is on a mission to buy illicit weapons in the US and ship them back to his organisation in Ireland. On his travels, he meets Tom O’Meara (Harrison Ford), a New York cop who welcomes McGuire into his home. A violent act against O’Meara’s family arouses suspicion about his new acquaintance, and he discovers McGuire’s dark secret. O’Meara arrests the terrorist but complications en route to the station lead to a deadly showdown.
Directed by Alan J. Pakula in 1997, the movie also stars Ruben Blades, Margaret Colin and Treat Williams.
