PAINTING WEEKEND

Jean Powell is to run painting weekends for artists at her home in the beautiful Byrne Valley, some 15kms from Richmond.

Jean Powell will be remembered from Bellevue Lodge in Ramsgate, where she ran painting holidays from 1984 to 1989. She has a self-catering cottage and a large home with studio facilities. She can accommodate five artists at a time, and it would be on a self-catering basis, but one evening meal would be included in the price (R400 for the weekend).

Artists may arrive any time from 08h00 on Friday and leave after lunch on Sunday, when everyone would all have the option to go to the Blu Pumpkin restaurant for lunch.
