For 13 weeks, two hunky bachelors, Jonathan Klopper and Paul Phiri will be faced with the daunting task of finding ‘the one’ from a bevy of 16 beauties in the new local reality series Rivals in Romance, starting January 21 at 19h30 on M-Net Series channel 110 DStv. The series will be presented by the lively Phuti Khomo and Jonaid Carrera.
Among the 16 women competing for the Bachelors’ hearts are Durbanites Karis Woodenberg (22) who is a teacher and Nikki Ross (25), a PA during the day and a pole/lap dancing instructor after hours.
Each week, the women will be divided into random teams for challenges that will test both their endurance and the limits of how far they would go for love. Each of the challenges, such as a paint ball session test called “will she fight for me”?... are themed according to the nuances and scenarios that come with trying to find one’s true love. The winning team gets to spend a romantic date with the two bachelors, where they will have the opportunity to get up-close and personal and hopefully charm the guys into keeping them in the game for a while longer.
