Internationally renowned, guitarist, singer and songwriter Nibs van der Spuy has been touring the world with his brand of insightful acoustic guitar mastery and poignant lyrics over the last four years. Journalists from all over the globe, and predominantly Europe, have cited Nibs as a fresh voice in the ‘Nu folk’ movement. With his virtuosic acoustic guitar style and mesmeric voice, he has enchanted listeners from small intimate theatres to large festival stages. With the release of his latest offering, A House across the River, France’s leading newspaper Liberation, wrote a full page article on Nibs. Nibs van der Spuy is currently promoting the release of his first live DVD, Live at the Vagabond Café which has been nominated for this years SAMA awards.
