MURDER MY HUSBAND PLEASE!!!

(Ruben Naidoo and Samantha Moodley lord it over Vivian Moodley)

Ensembles of Artists Communicating through Theatre (ENACT) is a Durban based performing arts company. Their latest production, Murder My Husband Please!!! takes a comedic look at spousal murders which have become the latest fashion in recent times. The cases of Anni Dewani, Taliep Peterson and the like, are cases in point. The ridiculous attempts of denial that the perpetrators of these dastardly acts produce in their defence provide the background for this hysterically funny piece of theatre.

Said spokesman for ENACT, Ruben Naidoo, “The people should watch this hilarious play not only for its comedic value but they will get a peek at some male person in drag. You will definitely shed tears of laughter so please carry your face cloth”.

The play is directed by theatre stalwart and popular TV personality, Vivian Moodley, who also performs in the show. The production features a stellar cast made up of stand-up comedian and film and radio actor, Ruben Naidoo, who recently featured in the 1860 love saga, Bittersweet. He is currently in the riotous radio comedy Lollipop Lane on Lotus FM as Krish. The gender balance is provided by the effervescent and dynamic Samantha Govender who played the lead in Bad Girls Do Go To Heaven for which she won the prestigious Durban Theatre Awards Best Newcomer award. This sought-after actress and comedienne also appears in Lollipop Lane playing Fantasia.

Both Ruben and Samantha have lead roles in the soon to be released love drama movie, How Many Sugars?
