DANCE WINNERS

Local dancers Lesley Klewinghaus, who runs the Just Dance studio, and Jerome Edwards, who only joined her studio three years ago, are a familiar duo in dancing competitions around South Africa. They recently won gold in the couples’ section of the World Dance Masters’ Championships in Manchester. The dancers also won first prize in their solo style categories.

To quote a Daily News report by Laea Medley (September 20):

“In the August competition, Klewinghaus performed a waltz, a two-step and a cha-cha, while Edwards performed a nightclub two-step and a show dance. They were assessed by a panel of nine international judges on their knowledge of dance steps, technique and overall look.”
