UNIVERSAL SERIES

Coming up on the Universal Channel are two excellent series: Law and Order and Haven.

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit starts its Season 11 on September 28 at 20h00 to be followed every Wednesdays at the same time. The continuing stories from the New York Police Department’s Special Victims Unit – a group of elite detectives charged with bringing to justice the perpetrators of an array of unsettling sexually oriented crimes. While their investigations test their professional expertise, the detectives must also balance their tumultuous personal lives. Season 11 crimes include: a murder of a woman that is linked to the meat-packing industry, a case of mistaken identity and the murder of an uninvited wedding guest.

Haven starts its Season 2 on October 2 at 20h50 and will continue every Sunday at the same time. This is a hit detective drama with a paranormal twist. Based on Stephen King's short novel The Colorado Kid, the series delves into the strange world of Haven, a small town in Maine populated by mysterious people exiled from regular society owing to their incredible powers. When FBI agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) tracks a prison escapee who dies shortly after reaching Haven, she decides to remain in town and investigate this curious place. She soon discovers that Haven holds the key to more than just the history of those it shelters. Season 2 begins in explosive style, as Audrey encounters a woman who claims to be her, the residents of Haven are hit with a series of biblical plagues, and a range of intelligent, bloodthirsty machines unleash their destructive power.
