UNPLUGGED

Some of Durban’s finest musos, namely Barry Thomson, Andy Turrell, Marion Loudon and Calli Thomson collaborate once again to produce two hours of pure, honest “unplugged” sounds in Unplugged at the Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest.

“Come and join us “in our lounge” for some Spring-Time “Kick-Back Therapy”, and we’re not talking bribes here,” say the organisers. “Together with Heritage Theatre’s Gary McKenzie, the group has compiled a rep of some of the finest songs ever written to guarantee that you unwind, relax and sing along whilst enjoying the Heritage Theatre’s fine food and wine.”

Expect songs made famous by artists like Crosby Stills, Nash and Young, Jason Mraz, Bruce Hornsby, Sting, , Rod Stewart, Tom Petty, Guns ‘n Roses and The Eagles, as well as some of the all-time classic unplugged sounds of Layla, Romeo & Juliet and Boat On The River. All this with the group’s original unplugged renditions of some popular and instantly recognisable rock classicsl.

Unplugged runs until September 26. Normal prices are Wednesdays to Saturdays R190 (R165 Tuesday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes) include a two-course meal.
