Hosted by FOTAG (Friends of the Tatham Art Gallery) in Pietermaritzburg, The 2011 Fabulous Picture Show is an auction of donated artwork. It is FOTAG’s major fundraiser and the money raised goes towards the acquisition of new artwork for the Tatham Art Gallery.
Artists can submit a maximum of three artworks in any medium (2D or 3D) but no larger than A5 (3D works should fit into an A5 cubed box)
The exhibition opens on November 20 with the auction taking place on November 25. This year, the opening is being held on a Sunday so that people who can’t come during the week will have time to preview the work and start placing bids at their leisure.
The exhibition will be open every day of next week (including Monday) until the Friday evening when the final auction will take place.
