DEATH OF NJABULO ZUKULU

The Durban dance world has lost one of its talented young performers with the death on November 9 of Njabulo Zukulu.

“He was last seen with us in Ndlovukazi! at Stable Theatre,” says choreographer and dancer Musa Hlatshwayo of Mhayise Productions. “He had been a committed member of Kitsona's Kids before joining Cato Manor Vibe! and later, The Movement Laboratory. He will be remembered by his strong will to learn, his forgetfulness, his funny legs and his undying love for dance and most importantly, his laughter. Nkosi kanti ubizwa abanjani? RIP boy!”

Dancer and choreographer Vusi Makhanya of the Dusi Dance Company adds that the death of Njabulo Zukulu adds to the loss of so many arts practitioners over the last five months: “Sad news again. We have now lost another soul, Njabulo Zukulu, who recently joined our dance development project Saturday Classes. He also performed with us during Jomba Contemporary Dance recently. We say indlela enhle Mfana *RIP* but I am real sad*”
