Hot on the heels of the first ever 3D Bollywood movie, RA ONE in 3D, Ster-Kinekor Select proudly and exclusively presents local Bollywood treasure, Pyaar Ajnabee Hai (Love Is A Stranger)!. With an all-South African cast, this film is bound to appeal to local audiences.
Pyaar Ajnabee Hai features a stellar cast including the likes of producer and actor, Akrum Amod, and model, Varsha Singh. Also appearing is the multi-talented and internationally recognised singer, Hoosein Vally who can be seen gracing the silver screen for the very first time! Not only is Hoosein Vally the director of music, producer of four new songs and a remix of the popular Birthday Song especially for Pyaar Ajnabee Hai, this movie also represents his acting debut. Fans can look forward to seeing him in the leading role of Yuvraj - a successful businessman and the head of his family.

Pyaar Ajnabee Hai is unlike anything local movie-goers have seen before, and tells the story of a family from India that has relocated to South Africa. Besides mom, dad and siblings, they also brought along the entertaining servant Gully (Shabeer Shaik) who ensures for plenty of laughs and entertainment. Yuvraj (Hoosein Vally) has chosen a groom from India for his daughter Karina (Varsha Singh). However, she is already in love with another man, so enlists the help of struggling actor Karan (Akrum Amod) to play the role of her husband. What happens next is a string of funny and moving moments, as their family dynamics are changed forever.
“Pyaar Ajnabee Hai is the story about a stranger bringing love, joy and happiness to a family,” says Akrum Amond “It’s one of the first Bollywood-style productions ever produced in the country, and consists of 50% Hindi dialogue and includes subtitles. It’s also shot in high definition, using the most up-to-date equipment in every step of the production process,” he adds.
