DEATH OF ISAAC SITHOLE

Sharon Crampton, director of the African Art Centre, has released the sad news of the death of one of Durban’s top artists:

“It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of much loved and respected artist Isaac Sithole at Addington Hospital in Durban on Tuesday, 7 February, 2012. Isaac started working with the African Art Centre approximately 15 years ago. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.”

Mduduzi Xakaza, Director of the Durban Art Gallery added the following tribute: “This is quite a tragedy and a great loss to all of us, the industry and his family!”
