DON’T BURST MY BUBLÉ
(Jonathan Didlick)
The first show at the new Aliwal Theatre supper theatre venue in Umkomaas is Don’t Burst My Bublé starring Jonathan Didlick.
Returning to Durban after a year-long contract with The Barnyard Theatre and Sun City, Jonathan and a trio of sassy dancers, including Leigh Meyer from Umkomaas, entertain with glitz, glamour and a laidback atmosphere that is evident in all Bublé’s Vegas-styled stage appearances. During January this year the show ran for 10 nights at the Heritage Theatre to great acclaim.
Didlick has performed in numerous Heritage Theatre shows: including: Johnny Be Good, In the Summertime, Come Fly with Me, Let’s Party, the award-winning King and Queen, Who’s your Daddy, Rock Legends 2, as well as appearances in Let’s Hear it for the Boys, Let’s Twist Again and Blondes on Deck at uShaka’s Upper Deck.
“While my peers were listening to the popular groups and singers of the 90’s and 2000’s, I, on the other hand, was dabbling into the genius and harmonies of the likes of The Beatles and Queen and the big band swing sound of the then, up-and-coming, Michael Buble,” Didlick explains.
