The Young Performers Project, co-ordinated by the Performing Arts Network of South Africa (PANSA) KZN and underwritten/sponsored by Rainbow Pty Ltd, is a musical theatre project for High School Learners which runs every year from May to July in Durban.

The project offers high school learners (Grades 8 – 12) a chance to be in a professional production staged during the July holidays. The learners get the opportunity to work with a professional team of directors, choreographers, vocal coaches, musical directors as well as sound and stage crew. This programme promotes discipline, develops confidence. It also provides an opportunity to make lifelong friendships as well as to learn a huge amount from the professionals … and have a whole lot of fun at the same time!

This year’s production is Legally Blonde which will run at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from July to 15.
