THE SNOWS OF KILIMANJARO

(Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Ariane Ascaride)

As a dedicated devotee to art house and foreign films, Ster-Kinekor Cinema Nouveau strives to deliver powerful and engaging content from across the globe to local audiences. The release of The Snows of Kilimanjaro on June 15 exclusively at Ster-Kinekor Cinema Nouveau theatres nationwide, sees a French gem and official Cannes selection featured.

Directed by Robert Guédiguian, and inspired by the poem How good are the poor (Les Pauvres Gens), by Victor Hugo, The Snows of Kilimanjaro gives audiences a glimpse into the loss, trauma and heart-ache experienced by Michel (Jean-Pierre Darroussin) and Marie Claire (Ariane Ascaride) as they are forced to face the obstacles that life has put before them.
