NowNowTix, a new initiative by mobi site Grahamstown NOW has been launched for this year’s National Arts Festival, allowing people to get half-priced tickets for shows three hours before they begin.

Grahamstown NOW will send out SMS or email notifications to anyone who opts in by smsing the word NOW followed by the first name to 082 049 2146. These tickets can be picked up at the door of selected shows.

Available tickets for the shows will be announced three hours before they are to start The list of shows will change daily, depending on how ticket sales are going that day. Details will be on the site as well.

NowNowTix wil continue throughout the Festival and the service is free.
