DRACULA AT SEABROOKE’S

(Slaine Spaan as Dracula)

Dracula – The Vampire Strikes Back is a fun-filled, for-the-whole-family type show with zany characters and implausible situations.

Coming to Seabrooke’s Theatre at Durban High School (DHS), it tells the story of Sapphi, the vampire slayer, and her attempts to rid London ... and eventually the world, of the archetypal evil vampire. Aided by the incompetent and timid Jonathan Harker, her mother Coco, the pantomime dame, and friend Lucy Lastic, she must find victory and love … somewhere between England and Transylvania.

Written by Thomas Ribbits and Tim Saward and with a cast of 18 learners (with girls from Our Lady of Fatima), this entertaining and often quite clever show is definitely a comedy in a jugular vein!

Dracula – The Vampire Strikes Back runs at Seabrooke’s Theatre from August 15 to 17 at 19h00. Tickets R40 booked on 031 277 1500 during school hours. Seating is unreserved.
