Grace Place is the preschool in Pinetown which is attached to His Church and a fundraiser is being held on September 7 and 8.
“Grace Place desperately needs not only a much needed computer room but a new Grade 0 classroom”, says project co-ordinator Michael Milne who, along with a team of other volunteers from His Church, are staging this event.
Milne has helped in putting together a supper theatre show called All that Jazz with a prestigious line-up of artists and musicians. These include Neil Goncalves (who used to play with Johnny Clegg for five years), trumpeter Cathy Peacock, singer Shelley McLean and the well-known broadcaster Dave Guselli.
The organizers will have baby-sitting facilities at a cost of R50/child. This will be housed in the hall adjacent to the theatre venue so concerned parents will be able to check on them occasionally.
The concert will take place at the Church, 13 Drake Road in Pinetown Tickets R150 or R1,500 for a table of ten. Bring own food hampers and drinks. However, a limited selection will be available at the bar.
Seating is limited so book early. Contact Sharne Bester on 031 266 4178; Debby / Aletta on 031 701 6211 or Michael Milne on 071 588 5911 or see Candice at reception at His Church. EFT’s and cash are accepted means of payment.
