While many may rush
to book for his latest show because of its title Dan Patlansky … Stripped!,
let it be known that this supremely talented musician will not be appearing in
the nude. The title refers to the fact that he is currently on an entirely
stripped-down acoustic tour of South Africa.
The idea for an
acoustic tour was informed by Patlansky’s fans. When he recently posted on
Facebook that he might like to do an acoustic tour, the overwhelmingly positive
response from his loyal fanbase made him decide to get the wheels rolling.
Patlansky will be
accompanied by his compatriots, Andy Maritz (drums/percussion) and Clint
Falconer (bass).
“I am really
looking forward to this tour – it’s something that the fans have asked for
directly and it’s always great to give the fans what they want. The opportunity
to spend time with fans from all over the country makes it even better,” he
said at the outset of the tour. His latest album, 20 Stones,
has been hailed as a critical triumph and is currently available at music
outlets.
