HA!MAN & CAWTHORN-BLAZEBY AT ST CLEMENTS

(Francois and Ant)

Following their successful collaboration over the last few years, and at Splashy Fen earlier this year, Ant Cawthorn- Blazeby and the Ha!Man are delighted to be performing at St Clements for one show only on September 21.

Since 2006, Francois and Ant have been delighting audiences with their own unique brand of spontaneous music. Both vastly experienced performers on cello, keyboard and violin they undertake a sometimes risky, sometimes sublime, musical journey together finding each other in the magical spaces between the notes to create a breath-taking soundscape of ephemeral sonic beauty.

First meeting in Grahamstown in the early 90’s when they were both performing on the streets, they reconnected a few years ago to regenerate and nourish an elusive musical connection that sprang to life on a cold Grahamstown street many years ago.

Francois travels the world performing, conducting workshops and cultivating the creative spark, the Ha! that lives in all of us. Ant is currently based in Durban, working as a solo performer and with other projects and musicians.

Their performance takes place at 19h30 at St Clements, 191 Musgrave Road, on September 21. Couvert charge R80 and booking is advisable on 031 202 2511.
