CASUALTY SERIES 24

The world's longest running medical drama continues Casualty Series 24 will be screened from October 19 at 17h25 on BBC Entertainment (channel 120 on DStv). Be prepared for changes aplenty for the patients and staff of the Holby City Emergency Department.

Having been diagnosed with a brain tumour during the last series, Jordan was determined to make the most of the time he had left and set about making amends for his wrongdoings. When Zoe made a medical mistake, he took the blame. He left the Emergency Department a hero, but vanished with no contact details… leaving former nemesis Adam to take up the new Clinical Lead role.

Adam is the picture of contentment. What with the new job, his name on baby Harry’s birth certificate and Jessica by his side, he has a proper family and the future looks rosy. He starts his first day as Clinical Lead with a heartfelt speech about working together.

New junior doctors Yuki, Heather, Lenny and May are impressed, but how will they cope with their first live trauma? Sparks fly as the situation gets competitive and Heather is chosen to go on her first shout, a seemingly minor incident at a shopping centre. However, Adam soon finds himself having to deal with his first major disaster as Clinical Lead, when the situation at the shopping centre escalates and there is a shocking fatality as a result of an explosion.
