Well-known Durban actor Loyiso MacDonald,
who has impressed audiences in a number of roles since he became a professional
actor, recently married the love of his life in Mpumalanga.
Growing up in the wilds of the Eastern Cape
and groomed by the greens of KwaZulu-Natal, never did young South African actor
Loyiso MacDonald think he would find his wife in the East. The pair met in
Johannesburg whilst Loyiso performed the KZN originated production of Shakespeare's
Othello produced by Think Theatre.
The rest, as they say, is history.
On September 30, Loyiso MacDonald bound his
heart to Mathunzi, now Luphiwo MacDonald, in a beautifully colourful
traditional ceremony at her home in Mpumalanga with friends and family to share
in their joy. They definitely looked like a princely royal couple. Among the
supporters was a strong contingency of fellow Durban theatre practitioners.
Loyiso's recent work includes SABC3's Those Who Can't (Thursdays at 18h30) and
his role as Ntando Sibeko in Isidingo
in May.
