Glade’s fragrances
have inspired budding designers and decorators from around the country to unleash
their creativity in the Glade Inspirational Fragrances competition. The
competition called for members of the public to design a unique room, inspired
by one of Glade’s six selected scents, showcasing the influence that fragrance has
on design.
A panel
of judges selected the following finalists in the competition:
Janice Judd
for Contemporary Closet inspired by the
Clean Linen fragrance.
Bernadine
Pretorius for Turning the Ordinary in the
Extraordinary inspired by the Falling in Love fragrance.
Faraaz
Mahomed for Lady Glade of Paris
inspired by the Lavender fragrance.
Ashley-Shé
Regal for Easy Living inspired by the
Floral Perfection fragrance.
Nadia de
Barros for Spring Fantasy Collection inspired
by the Harmony fragrance.
Melanie
Engel for Morning Dew inspired by the
Morning Freshness fragrance.
“We are
impressed by the high calibre of entries received and the talent displayed by
up-and-coming designers,” says Glade Marketing Manager Michelle Cloete. “It is
inspiring to see the different ways in which fragrance influences design. The
entries clearly showcased that fragrance plays an important role in creating
the atmosphere of a room and that it does transform your house into a home.”
The
overall winner will receive a cash prize of R20,000. Members of the public are
invited to engage their senses at the Glade Inspirational Fragrances Sensorium
- the life-size exhibition of these top entries. From an indoor garden and dining area to a
very special bathroom and closet, the Sensorium will inspire you to unleash
your creativity in your own home.
The Glade
Sensorium visits KwaZulu-Natal early next year when it will run at the Pavilion
from KZN: January 16 to 20.
