DAN BROWN’S “INFERNO”

(Dan Brown)

Dan Brown, author of the No.1 international blockbusters The Lost Symbol and The Da Vinci Code, recently completed work on a new novel, Inferno, that will be published by Random House Struik on May 14.

Bill Scott-Kerr, Dan Brown’s long-term publisher at Transworld in London said: “I’ve been working with Dan Brown for over a decade now and every time he delivers a new novel, he never fails to surprise. As a storyteller, he has the great gift of being able to take you on a breathtaking rollercoaster ride at the same time as offering a fresh perspective on what he’s showing us along the way. This brilliant new Robert Langdon thriller is no exception – in Inferno he returns to the heart of old Europe and to the territory so compellingly occupied by The Da Vinci Code. It’s another star turn from start to finish.”

Dan Brown said, “Although I studied Dante’s Inferno as a student, it wasn’t until recently, while researching in Florence, that I came to appreciate the enduring influence of Dante’s work on the modern world. With this new novel, I am excited to take readers on a journey deep into this mysterious realm…a landscape of codes, symbols, and more than a few secret passageways.”

Steve Connolly, Managing Director of Random House Struik said: “I can’t begin to express my excitement that we will soon be releasing another Dan Brown thriller featuring Robert Langdon. Dan Brown is one of those rare storytellers who can appeal to all ages and provoke genuine excitement among the reading public. South African readers have made his previous books massive bestsellers here and I am confident that Inferno will be another enormous success.”

Following the publication of The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown’s earlier novels, Digital Fortress, Deception Point and Angels and Demons have all gone on to become multi-million copy international bestsellers. To date, there are 190 million Dan Brown novels in print worldwide.

Inferno will be published on May 14 in hardcover at a recommended retail price of R360. For more information visit www.danbrown.com
