(Dave
Monks)
A
Feast of Irish is coming up at Rhumbelow Theatre –
and to be sure, South Africa’s very own Irish minstrel, Dave Monks presents an
evening of fun, party and sing-along Irish music in a pre-St Patrick’s Day
Party.
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, which
gives more than a touch of real authenticity to this Irish music and humour, Dave
Monks has a proven repertoire of rousing Irish favourites and between songs. He
delivers a touch of the blarney in his collection of Irish tales and jokes. His
folky feel of the music is accentuated by his mastery of the fiddle, banjo,
guitar, harmonica, tin whistle and vocals. To be sure, there’s nothing that
lifts the spirits more than a rousing evening of sing-along, clap-along Irish
music.
Shows take place on March 9 at 20h00 and
March 10 at 14h00 (venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner). Tickets

picnic baskets and braais will be available. There is limited secure parking
